Join us for a 5km social run on the stunning volcanic island of Madeira, honouring Hal Finney and marking the first Bitcoin Atlantis conference.
Our friends at the ALS Network have created a team page for donations. Funds raised will be added to this year’s Running Bitcoin Challenge led by honorary Chair Fran Finney.

WHAT: 5km easy social seaside run for all abilities.
WHEN: Friday, March 1st at 7:30am.

WHAT TO BRING: Road running shoes and clothes you feel comfortable working out in.
Hal Finney Mountain Run
Run/Fast Hike with us along the stunning Pico do Areeiro - Pico Ruivo trail route to the highest point in Madeira, and the third highest in Portugal, with an altitude of 1,862 metres.
WHAT: 12km challenging run/fast hike on high altitude trails. VisitMaderia.com reference.
WHEN: Monday, March 4th meet at 10:00am - expect to return around 16:00.
WHERE: Meet entrance to Barreiros Stadium, Funchal, Madeira.

WHAT TO BRING: Trail running/hiking shoes, extra layers (it might be cold at the top), a lightweight waterproof/windproof jacket, water, lunch, high energy nibbles and a rucksack to keep everything in.
WHAT TO EXPECT: We have booked a bus and driver for the day. The journey time from the stadium to the start of the hike is around 50mins. We'll have a number of leaders and divide into groups if there is a range of abilities. If the weather is fine we'll eat our packed lunches at the top and snap a team photo. The €21 ticket price covers the cost of transport but does not include lunch. Please bring your own packed lunch.
